Sharpening & Realignment
Restore cutting performance affected by normal use. This service includes an ultrasonic bath, sharpening and alignment, necessary adjustments for optimal performance, and Mizutani scissor oil applied inside the blades.
If your scissors have a nick, chip, bent tip or altered blade shape from previous sharpening, Advanced Repair may be needed. We assess every pair before work begins.
If repair is needed after you purchase sharpening, we will share our findings and request your approval before proceeding with additional work or charges.
After you purchase
- Open your order confirmation email and complete the Sharpening & Repair Intake Form. Complete one form per pair, using the same Shopify order number for all pairs in that order.
- Enter the complete return shipping address and describe the issue. Add clear photos, especially for visible damage or previous sharpening problems.
- Secure the closed tips lightly with an elastic and the handles with a twist-tie. Use the Mizutani sleeve if available, wrap each pair in bubble wrap and place it in a secure padded parcel.
- Include your name and Shopify order number inside the parcel. Label each pair so we can match it to its intake form, then keep your shipping tracking number.

Service timing
Allow approximately 4–6 weeks after both your completed intake form and scissors are received. Timing can vary with service volume and assessment findings. Purchasing the service does not start the service timeline.
