Description

Sharpening Service and Alignment Service

Includes ultrasonic bath, any necessary adjustments for optimal performance and a coat of our proprietary scissor oil applied on blade insides.

* Select the "Mizutani Repair" service to fix sharpening problems from uncertified sharpeners. This process restores the blade’s original shape but takes about four times longer to complete.

1. Secure tips of scissors lightly with elastic 
2. Secure handles with twist-tie to prevent scissors from opening during transit 
3. Send in bubble-wrapped envelope (with Mizutani scissors sleeve if possible)
4. Please include notes of issues with scissors

Stellar sharpening, long delays

Sharpening is ON POINT, but unfortunately the service is quite slow. It took almost 7 weeks between the moment I sent the shears and when I got them back.

I was hesitant at first to send out my scissor. Knowing how much it cost and that it was travelling to the other side of the world was a little scary. But 4 weeks later I got my scissor back and it was as if they’re new. It’s made my experience behind the chair more enjoyable and I get excited about using my scissors.

If you’ve had you shears for awhile and haven’t had your first sharpening but you’ve thought about it I highly recommend it. It’s a bit of effort on your end but totally worth it in the end.
