Mizutani Scissors Canada Stellite Alloy

The STELLITE Alloy Series-1 are precision cut, even-handed scissors crafted for both maneuverability and stability. A hallmark of the design is a butterfly-style handle and a short rubber-covered finger rest. Adeptly engineered with a flat screw adjustable from the rear, along with a detachable finger rest/tang and a modern ball bearing screw system.

Deloro Stellite's Stellite alloy offers excellent heat and wear-resistance, making it ideal for jet and racecar engines. Its durability has been enhanced, and its reliability has been verified in architecture, with Stellite parts used in the glass pyramid frame of Le Grand Louvre in Paris.

Scissors are tools composed of two blades that close tightly. We at MIZUTANI believe that the robust, long-lasting Stellite alloy is the superior material for scissors. Our original cobalt-base alloy was developed as an alternative to regular steel and comes with a price tag 30 times higher. However, when we take into account the user's total costs, including the durability and longevity of the cutting performance, we consider the Stellite alloy to be more than reasonable. When the Stellite alloy first launched, one of the main draws was its "amazing longevity". Stellite alloy is comprised of more than half cobalt. Our STELLITE alloy series is the ideal choice for consumers seeking strength and durability.


: STELLITE alloy; The Deloro Stellite Company is the supplier of Stellite® used at MIZUTANI, an alloy boasting superior heat and wear resistance. Comprised of over 50% cobalt, a rare metal, its manufacturing process is fundamentally different than that of ordinary steel. This cobalt-based alloy will never rust and is frequently utilized in aircraft components exposed to extreme conditions, as well as engine parts of competition cars, extending engine life significantly. Notably, it is priced up to 30 times more than the metals used for most cutting tools. MIZUTANI's top-of-the-line STELLITE alloy series is crafted with this precious steel.

: BALL BEARING
These high-precision metal ball bearings are produced in Japan and boast superior anti-corrosion characteristics compared to foreign-made items. With decreased friction around the screws, they lessen strain on the hands while also protecting the blade from damage, resulting in a longer operational lifespan.

ORGANIC DESIGN
The handles feature an organic appearance that resists metallic sheen. It's sculpted, curved shape provides the cozy feel of natural material, curving and clinging to the finger's shape like a welcomed embrace.
