The Deloro Stellite Company is the supplier of Stellite® used at MIZUTANI, an alloy boasting superior heat and wear resistance. Comprised of over 50% cobalt, a rare metal, its manufacturing process is fundamentally different than that of ordinary steel. This cobalt-based alloy will never rust and is frequently utilized in aircraft components exposed to extreme conditions, as well as engine parts of competition cars, extending engine life significantly. Notably, it is priced up to 30 times more than the metals used for most cutting tools. MIZUTANI's top-of-the-line STELLITE alloy series is crafted with this precious steel.
